hi, nice to meet you.

At Cassens Fine Art, we’re a small team with a shared love for art, craftsmanship, and connection. Each of us brings a different skill set and a lot of heart to everything we do, from curation to custom framing.

Michelle Cassens | Gallery Owner and Coordinator

A native Montanan, Michelle grew up surrounded by the landscapes and heritage of the West, experiences that shaped her lifelong appreciation for fine art and craftsmanship.

She earned a degree in Business Management from Montana State University, driven by a strong entrepreneurial spirit. Her passion for both business and the arts led her back to the Bitterroot Valley, where she took ownership of the gallery in 2019.

Michelle curates with a personal, intentional approach, building lasting relationships with artists and collectors alike. She’s committed to ethical business practices and supporting both emerging and established voices in Western Contemporary and Landscape Art. Many artists she represents are exhibiting in a gallery setting for the first time. Outside the gallery, Michelle enjoys skiing, hiking, and time outdoors. She grew up riding horses on her family’s property and remains deeply connected to the Western lifestyle that continues to inspire her work. She and her husband, Bridger Biggins, are raising their son, Jace, in the heart of Montana.

Anne Pearson | Gallery Assistant and Frame Designer

Anne is a Gallery Assistant and Frame Designer at Cassens Fine Art. She works closely with clients on the framing table, as well as organizes exhibition displays, and helps clients find artwork that fits their personal space and style. With a background in design and a practical eye for detail, Anne ensures each piece is presented in a way that highlights its unique character.

In 2016, Anne and her husband moved from Minnesota to the Bitterroot Valley, drawn by a love for the West and a desire to be closer to the outdoors. Since then, Montana has become home.
In the gallery, Anne focuses on creating clean, thoughtful displays and building lasting relationships with clients. She also brings care and creativity to the front of the gallery, adding a seasonal touch to the front garden accents that reflects the gallery’s welcoming atmosphere. She enjoys helping people connect with art and find frames that enhance their value and meaning. Her approachable style and commitment to quality make her a trusted pillar of the Cassens Fine Art experience.

Lizzy Potts | Gallery Assistant and Frame Designer

As a Gallery Assistant and Frame Designer, Lizzy helps manage art acquisitions and works directly with clients to ensure each piece finds its perfect presentation. While she thrives in the administrative side of her role, Lizzy especially enjoys the creative challenge of choosing tones and materials that enhance a framing project. Her journey to the gallery began in 2023 with a chance visit and a meaningful conversation, an encounter that quickly turned into an unexpected opportunity. Since then, Lizzy has become an essential part of the team, bringing curiosity, care, and a strong appreciation for the collaborative environment at the gallery.

Originally from out of state, Lizzy has spent the past ten years in Montana, embracing the slower pace, breathtaking views, and fresh mountain air. “Montana is a perfect backdrop for artistry,” she reflects. “Art is an extension of life which captures victories, struggles, and moments of stillness. With its rich past and hopeful future, Montana has and will continue to carve a unique artistic identity.” Lizzy’s thoughtful approach to both people and artwork makes her a valued presence at Cassens Fine Art and a trusted guide for clients seeking something truly special.

Dane Watt | Frame Artisan

Dane Watt is the Frame Artisan at Cassens Fine Art, where he leads all custom framing projects with a hands-on approach and a deep attention to detail. Born and raised in the Bitterroot Valley, Dane first learned the craft on the job and quickly developed a strong passion for it, one that’s grown with every frame he’s built since. Though his main focus is on the framing workshop, Dane is also an essential part of the larger gallery team. He brings thoughtful ideas to gallery planning and plays a key role in redesigning the space, especially when it comes to moving the heavier, more ambitious pieces. His appreciation for both the artistic and structural sides of the gallery makes him a quiet but invaluable force behind the scenes.

Presley Zimmerman | Marketing Coordinator

Presley is the Marketing Coordinator at Cassens Fine Art, where she leads our digital outreach efforts and helps share the gallery’s vision and artists with the world. From managing social media to developing marketing strategies, Presley plays a key role in how we connect with our community both online and in person. Originally from out of state, Presley moved to Montana at age 14 and quickly came to call the Bitterroot Valley home. She later earned her degree in Public Relations and Marketing from the University of Idaho.

Presley began working with the gallery during her fourth year, managing our social media platforms remotely from Moscow, Idaho. After graduating in December 2025, she joined our team full-time. “I’ve discovered a great appreciation for the creativity and stories behind the pieces,” she shares. “I love that I have a position where I get to connect and communicate with the artists who bring these amazing works to life.” Presley brings a fresh perspective, strong communication skills, and a passion for storytelling that helps bridge the gap between artists and audiences every day.
